On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the Oklahoma State Committee met in Oklahoma City at Higher Plain Baptist Church, and passed a resolution to censure Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt. Mayor Holt has repeatedly contradicted and undermined the values enshrined in the Oklahoma Republican Platform. His positions and actions have consistently diverged from the principles our party holds dear, including limited government, traditional values, and fidelity to Republican ideals. The censure reflects the Committee’s determination to hold elected officials accountable to the platform that unites our party.
