On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the Oklahoma State Committee met in Oklahoma City at Higher Plain Baptist Church, and passed a resolution calling upon Governor Kevin Stitt and the Oklahoma Legislature to take decisive action by classifying the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) as terrorist organizations. These groups have documented ties and associations that raise serious concerns about their activities and influence. Designating them appropriately would protect Oklahomans and align with efforts in other states to address potential threats to national and state security.
